Bitcoin Suisse Receives MiCAR License and Launches European Expansion
Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG has been granted a license as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) by the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority. This approval allows the European entity of Bitcoin Suisse, founded in 2018, to serve clients across selected EEA markets, building on its existing registration under the Token and TT Service Provider Act.
The company aims to become the first choice for high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and institutional investors in Europe, leveraging over a decade of operational experience. Its core services—trading, custody, and staking—are supported by proprietary infrastructure and a unique service philosophy that assigns a dedicated relationship manager to each client.
Andrej Majcen, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Bitcoin Suisse, described the MiCAR authorization as a decisive step toward becoming a global wealth management platform. He noted that the group now has the regulatory foundation to serve clients in Switzerland, Bermuda, and select European financial centers.
Roman Przibylla has been appointed CEO of Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG to lead the expansion. He brings over 15 years of distribution experience from senior roles at Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, HSBC, Vontobel, and Maverix Securities. Przibylla stated that the license gives the firm access to one of the world’s largest investor markets and enables it to offer clients high-quality infrastructure combined with personal, expert support.
Bitcoin Suisse is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, and employs over 200 people across Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the United Arab Emirates, and Bermuda.
