2 Crypto Stocks to Watch Ahead of the July 1 MiCA Deadline

Importance High

As the July 1 deadline for Europe’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation approaches, Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) and Circle (NASDAQ: CRCL) are crypto stocks to watch. Both firms have achieved MiCA compliance, positioning them to benefit as non-compliant exchanges like Binance may halt operations in the European Economic Area.

Coinbase and Circle stand to gain market share. A Kaiko report noted that Binance and Coinbase each handled €100 million in daily EUR-denominated trading volumes in 2025. Binance’s potential exit could shift some of this volume to Coinbase, which already holds 13% of the European crypto market. For Circle, Tether’s exit from Europe may boost usage of its EURC and USDC stablecoins. Circle reported that EURC’s market share in Europe doubled between January 2025 and March 2026.

COIN stock is defending a multi-month support level at $150, tested on June 24. The RSI reading of 36 indicates bearish momentum, and a close below $150 for three consecutive days could trigger a drop to $123, similar to the January 24 move. Negative AO bars confirm selling pressure remains dominant.

CRCL stock closed at $69 on June 24, its lowest since February 2026. The RSI of 31 suggests sellers may be nearing exhaustion after a sharp decline from $114 on May 29. Next support is at $66; a break could lead to $49. The MACD line below the signal line confirms bearish control. If buyers emerge, a rally toward $87 could signal a bullish reversal.
