Autheo Launches Decentralized Internet Operating System on Mainnet
Sheridan, USA – Autheo has formally introduced its decentralized operating system, a coordination layer designed to let traditional Web services, blockchain networks, and AI agents interoperate natively. The company launched its Mainnet production environment after a public testnet that surpassed 1.8 million wallets, nearly 1 million smart contracts, and 8.8 million transactions.
The Autheo OS provides identity, scheduling, messaging, state, compute, storage, and execution as open, programmable services. It is built on a sovereign Cosmos SDK Layer 0 with native IBC interoperability and an EVM-compatible Layer 1 execution environment, allowing developers to deploy Solidity smart contracts natively.
A key feature is its post-quantum security framework, PQCNet, based on NIST-standardized cryptography (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA). This provides quantum-resistant identity and communications for users, services, and AI agents.
Autheo was founded in July 2021 by Todd Mortenson and Scott Bayless. The network engineering is led by Chief Engineering Officer Kenneth Harper. The project underwent security audits by Halborn (testnet) and CertiK (Mainnet). Partners include Zeeve, InfStones, Hydrex, and others.
The testnet, launched in 2025, saw accelerated adoption after the Mainnet Phase 1 announcement on May 12, 2026. Daily activity averaged 30,000 new wallet addresses and 20,000 new smart contracts in the past month.
Autheo’s THEO token is expected to become available on Hydrex.fi in early July 2026, with further exchange listings anticipated. Developer resources and node programs are available, with Core Node and Prime Node tiers allowing accumulation of THEO tokens.
