Autheo Launches Decentralized Operating System Mainnet for Web, Blockchain, and AI Coordination
Autheo has officially launched its decentralized operating system on mainnet, following a public testnet that attracted over 1.8 million wallets, nearly 1 million smart contracts, and 8.8 million transactions. The platform aims to serve as a coordination layer that allows the traditional web, blockchain networks, and AI agents to interoperate natively.
The Autheo OS exposes standard operating system functions—identity, scheduling, messaging, state, compute, storage, and execution—as programmable services. It is built on four architectural foundations: TheoID, a W3C-compliant Decentralized Identifier implementation; PQCNet, a post-quantum communications framework using NIST-standardized cryptography; a sovereign Cosmos SDK Layer 0 with native IBC interoperability; and an EVM-compatible Layer 1 execution environment.
Autheo was founded in July 2021 by Todd Mortenson and Scott Bayless, long-time collaborators. The network is now live, with developers able to deploy Solidity smart contracts natively or migrate from other EVM chains. The platform has completed security audits by Halborn and CertiK.
Testnet adoption accelerated after the mainnet phase 1 announcement in May 2026. Cumulative testnet figures as of June 24, 2026, include over 1.8 million wallets and nearly 1 million smart contracts. Daily activity averages approximately 30,000 new wallets and 20,000 new contracts.
The native token, THEO, is anticipated to become available on Hydrex.fi in early July 2026, with additional exchange listings expected. The team’s near-term focus includes expanding partnerships across Web2, Web3, and AI communities.
