Tron Hits Record Highs in June, Topping 385 Million Transactions and 26.9 Million Active Accounts

Importance High

The Tron network set fresh usage records in June, with Lookonchain reporting that the ecosystem recently surpassed 385 million total transactions and 26.9 million wallet addresses as its stablecoin-driven activity accelerated. Onchain data showed the network reaching new all-time highs in June 2026, with the month’s active accounts near 27 million and transaction count in the hundreds of millions. The network processed a peak of about 14.55 million daily transactions and logged more than 5.8 million daily active accounts on June 10, both historical highs at the time. The steady climb positions Tron among the busiest blockchains by raw activity, frequently outpacing larger-cap rivals in daily transaction counts. Tron’s growth is closely tied to its dominance in the stablecoin market: the network hosts more USDT than any other blockchain, with a circulating supply exceeding $86 billion, handling about half of global USDT transaction volume and roughly 30% of all stablecoin activity. This throughput has made cheap, high-volume transfers Tron’s core use case. Justin Sun has leaned into this position, describing crypto cards as the ‘next evolution’ for stablecoin distribution and pushing the network deeper into payments. However, not all headlines have been favorable. A couple of years ago, the Tron DAO Reserve removed roughly $732 million in bitcoin backing the USDD stablecoin, fueling questions about decentralization. Sun has also unveiled a post-quantum security upgrade aimed at protecting user assets from future quantum-computing threats and continued to expand Tron’s Bitcoin treasury holdings. These moves sketch a network trying to shore up both its technical defenses and its balance sheet even as transaction metrics climb. Users continue to be drawn to Tron because its fees are a fraction of those on competing chains, and its settlement finality has made it a default rail for cross-border stablecoin transfers, particularly in emerging markets. Looking ahead, June’s records could translate into lasting momentum if Tron holds its stablecoin lead as rivals chase the same settlement business.
