Grayscale Spotlights the Applications Fueling Solana’s Rapid Growth
Grayscale says Solana’s growing application ecosystem is driving major on-chain activity, with the network averaging more than 100 million daily transactions year-to-date and supporting more than 1,000 decentralized applications. Grayscale Head of Research Zach Pandl attributes this growth to a suite of applications focused on decentralized finance, social trading, and decentralized infrastructure.
Solana has averaged over 100 million daily transactions year-to-date, equal to more than 1,200 transactions per second. It has also averaged 4.3 million unique daily users and generated about $100 million in total year-to-date transaction fees. Pandl said the activity comes from several categories of applications.
Grayscale highlighted Raydium, a decentralized exchange that is a core component of Solana’s DeFi infrastructure. Year-to-date, Solana-based DEXs have traded more than $360 billion in volume, more than any other blockchain ecosystem during the cited period. Pump.fun, a memecoin launchpad and social app, has about 1.3 million monthly active users and generates around $690,000 in revenue per day. Grayscale also pointed to Geodnet, a decentralized physical infrastructure project focused on location positioning for physical AI systems, enabling autonomous vehicles and robotics.
Grayscale’s takeaway is that Solana’s ecosystem is generating substantial network activity. Pandl summarized: “Solana hosts a thriving ecosystem of applications generating meaningful on-chain activity, with SOL offering investors exposure to the network’s continued growth.” This connects SOL directly to the growth of applications on the network, and whether that ecosystem continues expanding will shape the network’s future.
