Michael Saylor’s Orange Dot Bitcoin Chart Returns as Traders Watch for Strategy’s Next Buy

Importance High

Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR), posted his orange dot Bitcoin chart on July 5, reigniting speculation about the company’s next Bitcoin purchase. The chart maps Strategy’s 113 buy events against price movements, showing total holdings of 847,363 BTC. Saylor captioned it “Bitcoin is Digital Energy.”

The post follows a similar chart from last week, after which Strategy unveiled a $2.55 billion reserve shield on June 29. The reserve shield is part of a broader Digital Credit Capital Framework designed to strengthen preferred securities, improve liquidity, and preserve long-term Bitcoin exposure. The framework includes a USD reserve policy, STRC dividend changes, and a BTC monetization program that allows bitcoin sales under certain conditions, though the company stated it is not required to sell.

As of July 5, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings were valued at $53.116 billion, with bitcoin per share at 211,157 sats and enterprise value of $57.112 billion. The company reported about $2.55 billion in USD reserves, covering roughly 17.4 months of expected dividends and interest. With $1.25 billion in board-authorized BTC monetization capacity, total liquidity coverage rises to about $3.80 billion, or 25.9 months.

The orange dot chart reinforces Strategy’s commitment to Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset. Traders now watch for any announcement of a new purchase, which would be framed by the recent capital management plan. Saylor has emphasized that the Digital Credit Capital Framework aims to improve credit quality and preserve long-term bitcoin exposure without necessarily selling existing holdings.
