Bitcoin Suisse Advances Middle East Expansion, Receives Financial Services Permission in Abu Dhabi
Bitcoin Suisse, a Swiss-based crypto financial services provider, has taken a significant step in its international expansion. Its subsidiary, BTCS (Middle East) Ltd., has received Financial Services Permission (FSP) from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This authorization allows the company to offer regulated digital asset services to institutional and professional clients in the United Arab Emirates.
The FSP is the result of a multi-stage licensing process and enables BTCS ME to provide a suite of services, including custody, trading, and asset management, in a fully compliant environment. Bitcoin Suisse brings over a decade of experience in digital assets, currently safeguarding $3.7 billion in crypto assets and ranking as the fourth-largest staking operator globally.
The company’s expansion into the Middle East is led by Ceyda Majcen, CEO of BTCS ME, who has extensive senior leadership experience within the group. She stated that the authorization reflects the firm’s decade-long experience in building resilient infrastructure and trusted client relationships.
Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, congratulated Bitcoin Suisse, noting that the expansion reinforces the strength of Abu Dhabi’s digital assets ecosystem and its commitment to attracting global institutions through regulatory clarity and market access.
Bitcoin Suisse, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, with over 200 employees across Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the UAE, and Bermuda. The company provides trading, custody, staking, and lending services to institutional clients, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
