Ripple Lands Major XRP Partnership as Garlinghouse Shares Rare Personal Moment

Importance High

Ripple has announced a partnership with the University of Kansas Jayhawks athletics program, placing the XRP logo on game jerseys for all KU sports teams. The collaboration, described by Ripple as “history on a jersey patch,” marks the first-ever crypto sponsorship of a major college athletics program.

The Jayhawks, who have won 15 national championships including 12 NCAA Division I titles, will feature the XRP logo on their uniforms starting in the fall of 2026. The patch color will match the overall color scheme of Kansas athletics—either Crimson, Blue, or White—and will appear only on game jerseys, not on practice, travel, or sideline gear.

Official Adidas game jerseys sold at retail stores will not include the XRP patch. However, fans purchasing an official game jersey at the Kansas Athletics’ team store, Jayhawk Outfitters, can have the patch added at the time of purchase.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, a Kansas native and University of Kansas graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, commented on the move: “Rare moment where my professional and personal worlds collide: XRP is now the first crypto on the jersey of a major college athletics program, at my alma mater.”

Both parties emphasized a shared commitment to innovation and excellence. The partnership highlights Ripple’s ongoing efforts to promote XRP adoption through mainstream visibility.
