Robinhood Chain Tops $560 Million in Daily DEX Volume, Fueled by Meme Coin Boom
Robinhood Chain has experienced a surge in speculative trading, with daily decentralized exchange (DEX) volume exceeding $560 million. Data from onchain researcher Defioasis shows daily active addresses approaching 200,000, including over 140,000 first-time trading addresses. Nearly 16,000 new tokens were launched on the network in a single day, reflecting heightened meme coin activity.
Among the tokens, Cash Cat has reached a market capitalization above $100 million, making it a notable beneficiary. Seven meme coins on Robinhood Chain now have market caps exceeding $1 million.
The activity also benefits Arbitrum, which serves as the underlying layer-2 infrastructure for Robinhood Chain. Steven Goldfeder, co-founder of Offchain Labs, noted that 10% of fees collected on Robinhood Chain and other Arbitrum L2 networks flow to the Arbitrum ecosystem. Of that, 8% goes to the tokenholder-controlled treasury and 2% funds development. This revenue model could provide ongoing income for Arbitrum if trading volumes remain high.
Pumpfun, a token launch platform, has added support for Robinhood Chain tokens. Users can now trade trending Robinhood Chain tokens directly on Pumpfun without bridging, using SOL for transactions. Pumpfun founder Alon stated the platform aims to support cross-chain speculation beyond its original ecosystem. This integration broadens access to Robinhood Chain tokens for Solana-based traders.
The surge highlights the potential for Robinhood Chain to attract speculative liquidity, though the network must convert this into sustained user activity and fee revenue over the long term.
