Blackrock and Vaneck Lead $90 Million Bitcoin ETF Inflow as Funds Notch First Green Week Since May
U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $90.44 million in net inflows on July 10, while spot ether ETFs added $18.43 million, capping the first green week for bitcoin funds since May. Blackrock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the charge with $86.83 million of the day’s total, followed by VanEck’s HODL fund which contributed $3.61 million. On the ether side, Blackrock’s ETHA and Fidelity’s FETH remained the dominant products.
The week began strongly with $265.69 million flowing into bitcoin ETFs on July 6, driven by a $209.40 million haul for IBIT. However, sentiment reversed midweek as bitcoin ETFs shed $84.9 million on July 8, even as ether products drew $70.5 million for a fifth straight positive day. July 9 saw a $95.30 million bitcoin outflow and a $52.08 million ether outflow, snapping the latter’s streak. Friday’s rebound flipped the weekly tally back into positive territory, with both bitcoin and ether products finishing in the green—a pattern analysts interpret as renewed engagement with crypto as an asset class rather than a bitcoin-only bounce.
The recovery comes after a challenging June, which saw roughly $4 billion exit U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs—the largest monthly withdrawal since the products launched in January 2024. That period included a 10-day outflow streak totaling $2.73 billion, which ended in early July when a $222 million rebound led by Fidelity’s FBTC broke the run. Despite the recent volatility, cumulative net inflows since launch stand near $51.3 billion, underscoring sustained institutional interest in bitcoin exposure through traditional brokerage accounts.
Price action has mirrored the flows. Bitcoin is currently trading near $64,100, up 1.39% over 24 hours, as the total cryptocurrency market capitalization has climbed to $2.28 trillion. The rebound has retraced part of the slide from October 2025, when bitcoin peaked around $126,000 before falling by roughly half.
The next test arrives Monday, when fresh flow data will reveal whether the tentative recovery can be sustained. A second consecutive green week would strengthen the case that June marked the bottom for institutional sentiment.
