XRP ETFs Brush Against $1 Billion in Assets as 9-Week Inflow Streak Comes to an End

Importance High

U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) ended July 10 holding $996.65 million in combined net assets, just $3.35 million short of the $1 billion milestone. Cumulative inflows since launch stand at $1.48 billion, despite a cooling in weekly momentum.

Data through July 9 showed $7.29 million in net outflows for the week, snapping a nine-week streak of positive inflows during which the products accumulated their $1.48 billion haul. The modest $107,400 inflow recorded on July 10 was too small to offset the weekly deficit.

The soft patch follows a record May, which delivered $118 million in monthly inflows—the best month on record for XRP ETFs. The funds have repeatedly led the category, attracting fresh capital even on days when bitcoin funds saw heavy outflows.

Despite the solid institutional flows, XRP’s spot price has struggled. The token traded near $1.11 on July 11, after sinking to a yearly low of $1.01 last month during a broad crypto market slide. Its year-to-date decline now exceeds 40%. Notably, the price failed to gain traction even after Ripple—the payments company most closely associated with XRP—secured full EU regulatory approval under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

The divergence between steady ETF accumulation and a weak spot price has become a defining feature of the XRP market. The funds collectively hold approximately 964.5 million XRP in regulated wrappers, representing a growing pool of supply insulated from spot market fluctuations.

With only $3.35 million separating the funds from a ten-figure asset base, a single strong session could push them over the $1 billion mark. Traders are closely watching the $1.00–$1.05 support zone: a breakdown would delay the milestone, while a bounce could deliver it within days.
