Solana Hits 300,000 RWA Holders as Ethereum's $16.3 Billion Value Lead Starts to Slip

Importance High

Solana’s real-world asset (RWA) holder base has hit a record high of over 300,000 wallets, placing it first among all blockchains by holder count, according to data from RWA.xyz. This comes as Ethereum maintains a commanding lead in tokenized value but sees its share slip slightly.

As of mid-June, Solana had 285,971 RWA wallets, representing about 31% of the global tokenized asset market, while Ethereum had 199,191 wallets and BNB Chain had 101,902. Solana’s growth has been rapid, adding roughly 100,000 holders in under three months, with holder numbers expanding 29.3% in the 30 days into mid-June.

In terms of value, Solana’s tokenized asset market reached a record $3.62 billion in July, more than double the $1.4 billion it started the year with in January 2026. However, Ethereum still hosts $16.3 billion in tokenized assets, roughly five times Solana’s total, anchored by large institutional funds. Ethereum’s RWA value slipped 4.7% over 30 days, while Solana’s rose 14%.

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo noted that tokenization is most powerful when combining quality assets with blockchain infrastructure. The data suggests two different adoption curves: institutions continue to use Ethereum for large tokenized funds, while a broader retail base spreads smaller positions across Solana due to its low fees and fast settlement.

Solana’s wider onchain economy reinforces this pattern, with stablecoin transfer volumes hitting $557 billion over the past 30 days and stablecoin supply surpassing $16 billion. The competitive landscape is being redrawn holder by holder: Solana leads in distribution, Ethereum defends value, and BNB Chain holds third on both counts.
