Investors Push $79M Into Bitcoin ETFs as Ether Funds Lose $28M

Importance Critical

On July 16, demand for crypto ETFs diverged sharply. Bitcoin ETFs extended their inflow streak to three days, attracting $79.15 million, while ether products saw outflows of $28.04 million.

BlackRock’s IBIT led bitcoin inflows with $33.44 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $30.73 million and Bitwise’s BITB at $14.98 million. Total trading volume for bitcoin ETFs reached $997.79 million, with combined net assets ending at $77.72 billion.

Ether ETFs reversed course after recent inflows. Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust saw the largest withdrawal of $14.28 million. Fidelity’s FETH lost $11.20 million, and Grayscale’s ETHE shed $4.84 million. Bitwise’s ETHW was the only ether fund to attract capital, adding $2.28 million, but overall net outflows totaled $28.04 million. Ether ETF trading volume was $431.23 million, with net assets at $10.10 billion.

XRP ETFs returned to inflows after two sessions with no movement, adding $6.78 million. Bitwise’s XRP fund contributed $4.41 million, and Franklin’s XRPZ added $2.38 million. XRP ETF trading volume was $11.85 million, with net assets reaching $997.18 million.

Solana ETFs brought in $1.66 million, primarily through Grayscale’s GSOL. The category saw $54.74 million in trading volume and ended with $879.19 million in net assets. HYPE ETFs recorded no daily flows.

Meanwhile, T. Rowe Price launched the TKNZ fund, the first actively managed multi-token spot crypto ETF. With a 0.75% fee and about $15 million in initial assets, TKNZ’s portfolio allocated 40.75% to bitcoin, 18.42% to ether, 11.01% to BNB, 9.44% to solana, 9.37% to XRP, and 6.45% to HYPE, along with smaller positions in XLM and Dogecoin. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted the fund is underweight bitcoin and overweight most other tokens, particularly HYPE.

The launch provides investors with an actively managed basket of crypto assets, while Thursday’s flows indicate capital continues to favor bitcoin over ether.
