DeFi Aggregator Odos Closes Doors, Leaves Users 5 Days to Move Locked Funds

Importance High

The team behind decentralized exchange aggregator Odos announced on July 23, 2026, that the company operating the platform is winding down and will end all services by July 30. Since its launch in 2022, Odos routed over $104 billion in cumulative trading volume across roughly 15 blockchain networks, but monthly volume has fallen nearly 98% from its December 2024 peak of $7.85 billion.

The shutdown proceeds in three stages. New account signups, wallet creation, and limit orders stopped on July 23. On July 27, the app enters read-only mode, allowing users to check balances and history but blocking new trades. After July 30, the front end, APIs, and support end permanently.

Users who connected external wallets like MetaMask or Rabby face little disruption, as their assets remain on-chain under their own keys. However, users who created wallets inside Odos using Google, Apple, or email logins must export their private keys or move assets to a self-custody wallet before the deadline. The team warned that recovery instructions will remain posted on the official page, but urged users not to wait.

The ODOS token will continue to operate independently of the shutdown, as Odos does not custody the token. The Odos DAO, a separate entity, said it will share its own plans later. The company did not provide a detailed reason for the closure, but noted that declining volume, built-in wallet swap features, and competition from solver-based platforms like Cow Protocol contributed to the drop.

Odos raised an undisclosed Series A round in August 2024 from Uniswap Labs Ventures, Mantle, and Orbs, but the funding did not sustain its peak activity. Users seeking alternatives can turn to 1inch, CoW Swap, Paraswap, or Jupiter. The team also issued a scam warning, stating there will be no new Odos products, token migrations, or airdrops, and urged users to ignore any messages promoting such offers.
