Ether ETFs Outshine Bitcoin With $14.5M Inflow as Morgan Stanley's MSSE Draws $5M on Debut
Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracted $14.53 million on Tuesday, July 28, building on Monday’s gains as demand spread across three products. Meanwhile, Bitcoin ETFs posted a fourth consecutive day of outflows, and Solana ETFs recorded their second-largest daily withdrawal since launch.
Institutional crypto demand showed a clear divergence. Ether funds continued to pull in fresh capital, while Bitcoin’s losing streak deepened. Bitcoin ETFs reported net outflows of $49.75 million on Tuesday. Blackrock’s IBIT accounted for all outflows with a $54.83 million withdrawal, partially offset by a $5.08 million inflow into Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust. Bitcoin ETF trading volume reached $1.40 billion, with total net assets falling to $77.23 billion from $78.71 billion the previous day.
Ether ETF inflows were led by Blackrock’s ETHB, which attracted $5.91 million. Morgan Stanley’s newly launched staking-enabled MSSE drew $5.15 million, and Blackrock’s ETHA added $3.47 million, for a combined net inflow of $14.53 million. Total ether ETF trading volume stood at $633.51 million, with net assets closing at $10.50 billion.
Solana ETFs suffered an $18.07 million net outflow, the second-largest on record, driven mainly by selling in Bitwise’s BSOL. Solana ETF total net assets dropped to $851.84 million. HYPE ETFs also posted a fourth straight day of withdrawals, led by Bitwise’s BHYP with $1.24 million in outflows, bringing net assets to $269.40 million. XRP ETFs saw no net flows, but combined assets slipped below $1 billion to $971.57 million.
The muted Bitcoin ETF activity suggests a concentrated retreat rather than a broad market shift. However, four consecutive days of withdrawals point to weaker near-term demand for the largest cryptocurrency. The ether ETF market appears more resilient, with Morgan Stanley’s staking-enabled product testing whether yield can extend the two-day rebound.
