BlackRock Drives 79% of Bitcoin ETFs' $233M Inflow
U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds extended their recovery on Thursday, drawing $233.13 million in net inflows for a second consecutive session. The positive momentum was led by BlackRock’s IBIT, which contributed $183.38 million — roughly 79% of the daily total — while no bitcoin fund reported outflows.
Other bitcoin funds also saw gains. Bitwise’s BITB added $20.74 million, Fidelity’s FBTC took in $15.50 million, and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT attracted $7.42 million. VanEck’s HODL and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust each received $2.29 million, while ARK 21Shares’ ARKB rounded out the session with $1.50 million. Total trading volume reached $1.73 billion, with net assets closing at $78.76 billion.
BlackRock remains the dominant player in the U.S. spot bitcoin ETF market. IBIT has attracted about $350 million in net inflows during July, helping lead a recovery after the fund reported outflows of $1.41 billion in May and $3.55 billion in June.
Ether ETFs also returned to positive territory, recording a $13.29 million net inflow. BlackRock’s ETHA led with $16.24 million, followed by Bitwise’s ETHW at $1.37 million, Morgan Stanley’s MSSE at roughly $413,000, and 21Shares’ TETH at about $383,000. Partially offsetting these additions, Fidelity’s FETH saw $2.87 million in withdrawals, Grayscale’s ETHE lost $1.55 million, and VanEck’s ETHV posted a $702,000 outflow. Ether ETF trading value totaled $422.72 million, with net assets at $10.52 billion.
XRP ETFs attracted $5.98 million, with Bitwise’s XRP fund receiving $3.03 million and Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ adding $2.95 million. Combined net assets returned to the $1 billion mark. Solana ETFs posted a modest $403,890 inflow, entirely through Morgan Stanley’s MSOL. Trading value reached $31.83 million, while net assets ended at $878.33 million.
HYPE ETFs recorded no net creations or redemptions, pausing a prolonged outflow streak. Net assets closed at $260.44 million.
Thursday’s data shows a broader return of risk appetite across digital asset funds. Bitcoin led decisively, but positive flows across ether, XRP and solana suggest institutional demand is no longer confined to a single corner of the crypto market.
