Blackrock Pulls $170M Into IBIT as Bitcoin ETFs Add $211M
U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $211.49 million in net inflows on Tuesday, extending their strong start to the week. Blackrock’s IBIT led with $170.35 million, accounting for over 80% of the daily total. Other contributors included Fidelity’s FBTC ($19.58 million), ARK 21Shares’ ARKB ($9.17 million), Bitwise’s BITB ($8.72 million), and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT ($3.68 million). No bitcoin ETF reported outflows. Total trading volume reached $1.57 billion, with combined net assets at $78.26 billion.
Ether ETFs also returned to positive territory, drawing $53.75 million across four products. Blackrock’s ETHA dominated with $42.46 million, followed by Fidelity’s FETH ($9.34 million), Bitwise’s ETHW ($1.34 million), and Morgan Stanley’s MSSE ($605,000). No outflows were recorded. Total trading volume was $387.95 million, with net assets at $10.32 billion.
Solana ETFs brought in $1 million, entirely through Morgan Stanley’s staking-focused MSOL. XRP and HYPE ETFs saw no net creations or redemptions.
Blackrock also announced a 1-for-3 reverse split for its iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), effective October 6. The move will consolidate shares, lifting the per-share price from around $14 to roughly $42. Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas noted that the higher share price could reduce effective trading costs from seven basis points to about two, highlighting increasing competition among ETF providers.
